Eszylfie Taylor

Eszylfie Taylor is the founder and president of Taylor Insurance Financial Services located in the financial district of Pasadena, California, and serves as financial advisor to individuals, business owners, and high net worth families. Mr. Taylor has consistently worked to achieve greater success in each subsequent year in the business, and has used his experiences throughout to develop his proprietary sales process, The Taylor Method. Born and raised in Pasadena, California, Mr. Taylor attended Maranatha High School where he earned Varsity Letters in four sports, earning him a scholarship to play basketball at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. His discipline and focus translated over to the next level, excelling as a point guard for the Cavaliers and graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. In the months before his college graduation, he attended a financial services job fair, where he instantly recognized the unique opportunity this field offered. Success and prosperity as an advisor was based primarily on his aptitude and dedication, not his age or tenure. His competitive attitude, determination, and ability to work as an integral part of a team made him highly desirable to several companies at the job fair. Ultimately, he accepted a position as an agent with New York Life, one of the top insurance companies in the industry. During his first two years at New York Life, Eszylfie Taylor made approximately $55,000 and $58,000, respectively. In year three, he had a breakthrough, and nearly tripled his income from the previous year. This breakthrough centered around how to improve his market and to focus on solving problems, not selling products. Naturally, Mr. Taylor built upon this and used his successes and failures as teaching tools that would contribute to the start of The Taylor Method. Over the next 13 years, Eszylfie broke records at New York Life and mentored countless agents, helping them find success and prosperity in the business.

His notable accolades include:

  • Top producing agent/advisor in the history of the African American market within New York Life
  • Million Dollar Round Table Top of the Table producer
  • NAIFA’s Advisor Today Top 4 Under Forty recipient for 2015
Through all the success, Eszylfie has continued to contribute to his community. Since 2003, his nonprofit, Future Stars, has been hosting a basketball camp for underserved youth in the community. Through this camp, he has mentored hundreds of children, instilling in them the tools he uses to achieve success: hard work, perseverance, integrity, and sacrifice. In 2005, he organized an annual charity golf tournament that raises funds to support the activities for the children of Future Stars. In addition to his own nonprofit, Eszylfie sits on the board and fundraising committees for The Rotary Club, Ronald McDonald House, and Los Angeles Children’s Hospital. Eszylfie still resides in his hometown of Pasadena with his wife and their three daughters. He attributes all of his success to his strong sense of faith and his family.
